Our Team
Budd Kahler
Owner
Budd has a lifetime of experience in the construction industry. For more than 40 years, he has studied, built, and managed, gaining knowledge and insight into all aspects of the field.
While graduating from Emmaus High School, Budd studied carpentry for four years at Lehigh County Vocational School. His love for the art grew, and his professional career officially commenced in the summer of 1983 when he served under a local remodeler as an apprentice carpenter.
Continuing to challenge himself and develop new skills, Budd went on to construct custom homes. During this time, he was involved in all phases of new home construction. In 1988, Budd joined the team of a reputable local Lehigh Valley builder and learned the nuances of remodeling.
After nearly two decades of field experience, Budd decided to develop his management skills and worked as a leader in Facilities at Lutron Electronics. Combining his mastery in the field and his acquired leadership capabilities, Budd became a project manager for Boyle Construction in 2003. He also served as the start-up code enforcement inspector for the company CodeMaster Inspection Services, which involved him executing multiple projects simultaneously. He was working with owners, subcontractors, and architects, creating estimates, negotiating contracts, and working on large projects, up to $2 million.
Budd’s diverse experiences equip him with a plethora of expertise. Knowledge ranging from meticulous planning and hands-on construction to purpose-driven leadership. He makes successful partnerships with people involved in every step of the construction process. He is a tireless craftsman and a lifelong student, all of which help make him uniquely qualified in the industry.
Dylon Kelly
Carpenter
Dylon is a Navy veteran and the son-in-law of Kahler Construction owner, Budd. After graduating from Emmaus High School, Dylon served his country for four years in the Navy, while based in San Diego, California.
Dylon joined Kahler Construction in January of 2020, working daily onsite performing all phases of construction. Dylon has impeccable organizational skills and pays attention to detail.
He works hand in hand with subcontractors and owners daily to make sure each project gets completed on time while meeting the owner’s expectations.
