Allentown, Pennsylvania
This kitchen addition in Allentown, PA expanded a 1970s home with a 150-square-foot custom kitchen. To start, we removed the brick façade and 28 feet of exterior wall to create space for the new design. As a result, the kitchen now feels open, bright, and modern.
Next, we installed structural posts and beams to support the expanded space while keeping the layout open. Additionally, we remodeled the laundry and powder rooms to match the new kitchen and improve functionality. Meanwhile, we updated the family room so it flows seamlessly with the addition, creating a cohesive living space.
Furthermore, we added a deck and screened porch later to complete the family’s vision of their dream home. In addition, every design choice blends with the existing home while enhancing style, usability, and comfort. Overall, this Allentown kitchen addition combines expert craftsmanship, thoughtful planning, and modern design. Moreover, the family now enjoys a functional, inviting space built for everyday living and entertaining.

Client Testimonial
“Kahler Construction successfully did two projects at our home. The first was a kitchen, family room, powder room and laundry room renovation. Budd oversaw the entire project which included building an addition on to the house. Several beams were needed to open the space and allow for a flush ceiling look. He oversaw numerous subcontractors. The schedule and budget were adhered to, the workmanship was professional and the end result was dramatic! In addition, a heating and air conditioning system including duct work was completed. The second project was two years later. It involved contracting a deck and renovations to an existing screened ion porch. Everything except the roof of the porch was remodeled. Our home is updated and beautiful thanks to Kahler Construction!”
