This kitchen remodel in Allentown, PA created a bright and open space that blends seamlessly with the rest of the home. To start, we removed the wall between the kitchen and dining room, creating a spacious, open area for cooking and entertaining. As a result, the space now feels larger and more inviting.
Next, white oak hardwood floors were installed to match the front living room and create a cohesive look throughout the first floor. Additionally, custom-made cabinets and concrete countertops were added to make this contemporary kitchen both beautiful and functional. Meanwhile, two openings were created to connect the kitchen to a year-round sunroom, enhancing flow and natural light.
Furthermore, the remodel balances style and practicality, providing plenty of workspace and storage. In addition, every element was carefully chosen to blend modern design with comfort. “I was extremely pleased with Kahler Construction. They handled the general contracting of my recent kitchen expansion/renovation project. Budd took out a wall separating my original kitchen from a secondary dining room, making the kitchen almost twice the original size. He had to bury a beam in the ceiling where two original rooms met to create a completely open space. This was a very creative endeavor as the ceiling joists changed direction. It involved moving/rerouting a lot of ductwork, plumbing and electrical. He also handled the drywall, plumbing electrical and trim work, along with overseeing and coordinating the kitchen cabinet maker, concrete countertop people, and flooring.
