Allentown, Pennsylvania
This home addition in Allentown, PA expanded the living space for a large family and created an ideal area for entertaining. To start, we built a 14-foot by 21-foot addition at the rear of the home. As a result, the family now has a spacious, functional area for gatherings and everyday living.
Next, we installed a steel beam using a crane at the front of the home. This beam supports the second floor and allows for a flush ceiling, giving the space a clean, seamless look. Additionally, the new family room measures 21 feet wide by 29 feet deep, providing plenty of space for family activities.
Furthermore, we installed tongue-and-groove wainscoting on the lower half of the walls to match the existing style. In addition, a 10-foot-wide opening connects the front living room to the family room, improving flow and making the space feel larger. Together, these design elements create a cohesive and functional main living area.
Overall, this Allentown home addition combines style, comfort, and practicality. Moreover, the space allows the family to entertain and enjoy daily life while keeping the home’s original charm.
